Teen Leadership Board Meeting: 2022-2023

Hello! I am Bianca Reznic, a junior from Commack, New York, and the current Girl Spark Teen Leadership Board president. We’re very excited about all the events we have planned for this year! 

On Monday, September 12, 2022, we kicked off the year with our first board meeting. Once we got better acquainted, the teen board and I heard about Girl Spark from the source. Julia Kasper, our founder, came on to speak to us about the Girl Spark mission and goals. We also got to see Girl Spark’s tremendous growth and how it persevered during the troubling times of covid. 

Then, we were lucky enough to learn about leadership from the best! Heather joined us to teach us how to recognize our strengths and how important it is to utilize them to succeed in group settings. We moved on to review our board positions, expectations, and goals for this year. 

On behalf of myself and the teen leadership board, we’ve rolled our sleeves and are ready to work hard and do our best to cultivate an environment of learning, leadership, and connection. Go, Girl Spark!
