2019’s Inaugural retreat was an amazing success! The one day event was organized by Julia and the core team of teen girls and an adult steering committee. The event was held at Delaware County Community College and hosted by Jennapher Frederick, Good Day Philadelphia Reporter.

We had inspiring guest speakers, dedicated community leaders, volunteers, and over 150 interested girls representing 53 schools across tri-state area.

This could not have been possible without our generous sponsors. Light lunch was provided and each girl received a swag bag, with a Girls Spark t-shirt and other cool items, and amazing door prizes were won!

As part of our social responsibility we supported the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County with an over whelming collection of items and a significant monetary donation.

Each girl was able to choose 3 breakout sessions from the following:

Body Image & Self Confidence De-Stress Yoga Mental Health Title IX/Sexual Harassment Sexuality What to Expect in College Defend Yourself/Street Smarts a hands on lesson with a Black-Belt Instructors Chill/Comfort room as a way to relax and de-stress

At the end of the day, the girls were empowered & connected to help each other as Girls Spark Ambassadors.

New breakout sessions on Women’s Health, Mindfulness, Emotional Intelligence & more!

More fun activities to have girls get to know each other

A larger variety of different food options

Swag bags with even more environmentally friendly and sustainable products
